Backing Up To a CD 

Your critical files should be backed up once a month. Using Roxio EZ CD Creator has produced the most reliable results.  You could also do a drag and drop but you cannot mix these methods.   

 

 

Start Roxio EZ CD Creator

(Click on START/Programs/Roxio EZ CD Creator)

 

Choose Make a Data CD (2nd button)

 

Then, choose Data CDProject

 

 

Use the Select Source File window to find the files to back up. 

 

Under the Name list, click on the files or folders to backup.

Click on the ADD button.

 

Watch the teal bar at the bottom of the window for the amount of CD space you are using. Do not go past 650 MB or 74 min.

 

When all files are in the lower right window, click RECORD

 

 

 

 

 

To make sure your CD is readable by all computers, click on OPTIONS
Click on FINALIZE CD

Click on START RECORDING

 

When the CD is finished, you will see 100% and the OK button is available. Eject the CD and put it in a safe place.
