| The dialogue between parents and
school personnel is truly important, and it cam be set up through a
parent-teacher conference. This parent-teacher conference provides
a unique opportunity to collaborate with a key partner in your child's
education-his/her teacher. Even though, this meeting is often brief,
the resulting advice, strategies, and insights can help you and your child's
teacher to enhance your child's opportunity to succeed in the school
setting.
The following are some suggestions for getting the most out of the parent-teacher dialogue: Schedule your appointment and be on time; feel free to ask questions if you do not understand a given topic; do not be afraid to get details about your child's strengths and weaknesses; keep an open mind; and above all find out how you can help at home. Come and see us! Help us find out how we can better serve your child. |
