REMINDERS

Your child should be reading to an adult 20 minutes every night.  

Please check your child's homework folder each night.

Homework should be completed.  Students who fail to complete
homework lose recess time.

Your child is not too old for a bedtime story.  Reading to your
child increases vocabulary, reading comprehension, and the love of reading.

Breakfast in the classroom begins at 7:30, school starts at 7:45.

Students are tardy after 7:45.

 

 

 

First Grade Welcomes Mayor Garrett

Children across Texas must learn to identify leaders in the community, describe the roll of the mayor and identify the mayor's responsibilities.  To help them accomplish this goal, Primary School's first graders welcomed Mayor Henry Garrett to the campus March 24.  Students asked the mayor about his daily schedule, the location of his office, and how many people work for him.

Mayor Garrett graciously answered all of the questions, including one posed by a student from Ms. Bateman's class asked, "Do you have a hard time agreeing with City Council?"  At all times, Mayor Garrett shared with students, his top priority is making good decisions for the City of Corpus Christi.  Afterward, Mayor Garrett
